Vaping is a smoother and healthier alternative to smoking weed.

After the weed has been vaporized, what’s left is called: Already Vaped Bud (AVB).

Already Vaped Bud usually has a dry, brown look to it, as most of the cannabinoids are extracted.

However, unlike traditional cannabis smoking where you discard the ash, the AVB leftover still has cannabinoids that you can use.

In this article we will be sharing 5 clever ways to use your already vaped bud (AVB), helping you to get the most money out of your buds.

5 Ways to Use Your Already Vaped Bud (AVB)

Another common term for AVB (Already Vaped Bud) is AVB (Already Been Vaped).

After being vaped, the AVB is usually brown and has a smoked or roasted aroma and this is why most people tend to throw it away.

Let’s go over 5 awesome ways you can take your left over vaped buds, and still get some amazing benefits from the unextracted cannabinoids.

1 - Making Edibles From Your Already Vaped Bud

Did you know alternate AVB uses include making edibles such as brownies, cookies, and other pastries?

However, you must first make canna-butter or canna-oil, as they’re the crucial ingredients in making these edibles.

Canna-butter or canna-oil requires large amounts of AVB as they’re less potent than fresh bud.

Making cannabis butter or oil using AVB is similar to using fresh buds.

1- Simply put your AVB in a slow cooker or pot with butter or oil for several hours on low heat.

2 – Occasionally stir to avoid burning the AVB and then let the mixture cool before straining it

3 – After straining, store the cannabis butter or oil in a cool dark place.

Now, the cannabutter or oil can be incorporated into any recipe that requires oil or butter. You can use it in a brownie recipe, spread the oil on toast, or even use it as a garnish in your savory dishes.

The possibilities are limitless when working with cannabutter.

Cannabis butter or oil has become popular and can be enjoyed with various meals. While it’s not as fast as sprinkling AVB directly into your food, the flavor difference compensates for the extra effort.

2 - Making Decarboxylated AVB Capsules

One of the easiest ways to use AVB is turning that leftover bud into capsules!

Making Already Vaped Bud capsules is easy to do.

Since AVB has already undergone decarboxylation, it makes it perfect for making capsules.

It only has to be infused in coconut oil, then using a syringe with a gauge needle, dose the capsule with the canna oil.

The dosage varies depending on the ratio of AVB potency and oil.

The best strategy is to start with one and see how it affects you; this way, you’ll determine your preferred amount.

You can also simply fill empty capsules with AVB and consume it like any other pill or supplement.

Capsules help you enjoy the AVB without dealing with the awful texture or flavor.

However, since capsules take longer to dissolve in the body, it can take a bit longer to feel their effects.

But hey, you took already vaped bud that you would have other wise tossed and now you can have a jar full of capsules!

3 - Water Curing Your AVB for Cannabis Garnish

Water curing is another brilliant way of taking your AVB and removing the harsh taste making it the perfect cannabinoid garnish.

The method of water curing is widely popular as it eliminates the unpleasant smells and flavors that puts off most people with AVB.

Although it takes longer to make compared to cannabutter, the process is relatively simple as all you need is a cheesecloth to swaddle your AVB.

This method can work with any amount of AVB, but saving up to one ounce is advised to make it worth the entire process.

After wrapping the AVB with the cheesecloth to resemble a giant tea bag, soak the entire thing in a bowl of water and ensure it is fully immersed.

Leave it to settle for several hours but regularly check for signs of water turning murky.

When the water changes color, toss it out and replace it with fresh water.

After the AVB has soaked for about 5-7 days, drain all the water from the ball.

However, avoid soaking for longer than seven days to prevent mold growth.

Now spread the soaked ABV in a tray or baking pan and put it in an oven at 200 degrees.

Turn and toss the ABV every 30 minutes to ensure it is drying evenly.

After two hours, the ABV should be completely dry. If you don’t have an oven, you can use a dehydrator, but this may take more than 2 hours to dry the ABV.

After the AVB is completely dry, it’s ready for consumption and can be sprinkled directly on food or infused in butter or oil.

Water-cured AVB is suitable as it has no bitter taste or smell compared to non-water-cured AVB.

4 - Using AVB to Make Tea and Coffee

AVB can be used to make tasteful coffee and tea as long as it’s used in milk.

For best results the AVB is added to milk and microwaved for one hour to allow the milk to absorb the cannabinoids.

Occasionally stir the milk for complete absorption.

You can also heat the mixture using a stove until it reaches a slow boil.

When it starts boiling, turn off the stove and allow the mixture to cool.

Turn on the stove again and repeat the process for about one hour.

When done, filter the milk using a filter or cheesecloth and add it to brewed coffee or tea.

It’s important to avoid heating the milk heavily as this alters the cannabinoids in the ABV. So, avoid letting the milk boil heavily, whether you’re using a microwave or the stove.

Pro-Tip: Make a larger batch of milk infused with AVB (already vaped bud) that way you can add the milk to your coffee or tea in the mornings without any prep-time.

5 - Sprinkle the AVB On Your Food

This is the simplest and quickest way to consume AVB without having to make cannabutter or oil.

Simply sprinkle the AVB and mix it into your food.

Sandwiches with peanut butter and honey are the most suitable for this as their sweetness and flavors help complement the bitterness of the AVB.

You can also mix AVB with coconut oil before spreading it on a sandwich to help absorption.

Already Vaped Bud is decarboxylated so it’s ready to eat for you to enjoy the cannabinoids, but remember the ingestion period does take longer depending on each person’s body.

Final Thoughts on Already Vaped BUd

Just like fresh bud, AVB can also be used in many ways without altering the effects of cannabinoids.

So next time you vaporize you dry cannabis herbs, don’t toss out the roasted, brown AVB (no matter how bad it smells).

There are tons of ways to add the benefits of the unused cannabinoids sitting in your AVB.
